DETAILS OF SUBMISSIONS
Following are the general considerations to keep in mind when submitting
works for presentation here.
For novellas, in addition to word count, we suggest submitting a
chapter-by-chapter outline along with
the manuscript. In other formats, be clear on what you are presenting and
how it should be described.
On the first page of the submission, please list the name of the
work(s), the author's name (or pseudonym),
the author's actual name, address, and email address.
It helps if you indicate in a cover email what you
intend to present in your work (the "message") and the audience to whom it
is primarily addressed. It also
helps to indicate what word processing program was used to produce the
submission. Completion of a
solid contract is required before work can begin to protect the author's
rights. For each accepted submission,
including a collection of seven to ten short stories, there will be a charge
of $100 for layout and format
preparations (most fiction works will be formatted in 7-8 formats for e-book
downloading). Every submission
will be carefully reviewed and edited in full cooperation with the author.
No changes are made without the
agreement of the author. Manuscripts must be in English.
One consideration that will apply as an added value will be to observe purchase
of these e-books,
in other words, using the e-book presentation as market research for print
publication. Those
most popular (you will receive monthly reports) will be considered for print
publishing in addition to
e-book publishing.
As the name implies, our usual emphasis is on the gay/lesbian/bisexual community.
Royalties paid for these
e-book works are 50% of the price charged for downloading the e-book, which
for a novella is usually $6.00
(royalty = $3.00, paid monthly). This magazine (E-LesMag) is
for stories oriented to lesbians; please see
E-GayMag for fiction intended
for gay men.
